I’ve made no secret of the fact that I don’t understand economics.
But maybe that’s just because I’ve never experienced it in a language I can understand.
This is actually Round Two, but I think it works better than the original. (Also, I don’t think the first minute and a half of non-musical intro is as funny as it thinks it is. If you’re in a hurry, skip to around 1:34; I tried to make it do that automatically but it doesn’t seem to work.)
It’s pretty clear we’re meant to be rooting more for the underdog, and Hayek certainly seems to make the more convincing case here. I don’t know how honestly reflective this is of the competing economic theories, and I’m unlikely to understand the background enough to really follow it all anytime soon. Still, it’s worth watching.
