I have got to get me to one of them TAM thingumawows one of these days. I’m missing all the fun. For one thing, Rebecca Watson and Sid Rodrigues got married live on stage yesterday.
So, yet another of my hopes has been tragically dashed. Obviously I never really had a chance there, what with us never having met and not actually having a great deal in common, but I know I’m not the only one feeling a slight pang at having it so dramatically and suddenly brought home, totally out of the blue like this. I know it was never anything more than idle daydreaming, but now even that has been irreparably grounded by this heart-rending reality. I suppose I just have to sigh a sad goodbye to what might have been.
Sid, what can she ever give you that I couldn’t?
Ahaha. Of course I kid. I joke to hide the tears.
Anyway, many congratulations to the happy couple. They are actually a pretty awesome pair. Given time I’m sure I can come to accept the sad truth that I’m probably not going to get off with many people I fancy on the internet.
And in the meantime, the live coverage continues. Right now as I type this, there’s live streaming footage over at randi.org of a dowser being tested for the million-dollar challenge. I must confess to not being on the edge of my seat as to the outcome, but it’s still fun to see happen. I’ll catch up later when my connection’s being less temperamental.
I’m consoling myself with the possibility that some TAM London tickets might still become available. If not, I guess I’ll have to start practising my remote viewing so I don’t miss any of the action. Either that or resolve to be quicker to book my ticket next year.
