Which pretty much settles the whole religious debate once and for all, I think. Also, Swedish is quite a delicious language to listen to, when it doesn’t sound like it’s being played backwards.
Fairly horrifyingly, as many Americans polled favoured the proposal that the government should “require all radio and television stations to offer equal amounts of conservative and liberal political commentary” as opposed it. Bad has a good round-up of the reasons why this is insane. “Fairness” is a hard thing to argue against, but this is not the way to mandate it. Being “fair” to alternatives to the theory of evolution in science classes by giving them equal time is entirely inappropriate, and forcing Fox News to give half their air-time over to token liberal commentators to fulfil a legal obligation is bound to be an exercise in futility.
And in paradigm-shattering news, a major blow has been dealt to evolution, as a letter from Charles Darwin is unearthed that clearly details his fascist, Nazi agenda. I take back everything I’ve ever said about Ben Stein, that weaselling, dishonest little maggot.
I’m sure I had more to talk about, but this is a pretty impressive level of activity from me for a Saturday, so, it’ll do.
